In 2017, we started small with a modest little kettle in the back of a beer shop on the Folkingestraat. What began as a shared passion among five craft beer geeks from Groningen quickly grew into an internationally appreciated brewery.

After years of successful gypsy brewing—which launched us into the top tier of Dutch breweries with an average Untappd score of 4.03—it was time for the ultimate next step: our very own taproom and microbrewery in the heart of Groningen.

To turn this dream into reality, early 2025 we launched a crowdfunding campaign through the CrowdAboutNow platform. The goal was clear: to take over and renovate a fantastic location at the Boterdiep (formerly De Prael), transforming it into a vibrant community hub complete with a professional kitchen and our own brewing facilities.

An Overwhelming Result

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the campaign was a resounding success:

• Time to fully funded: Just 2 days!

• Made possible by: 113 enthusiastic investors

By hitting our maximum funding goal, we were able to successfully secure the location, renovate the space and equip it with a brand-new draft system.

Furthermore, it provided the necessary financial runway to bridge the transition period, allowing us to keep brewing our beers during the renovations so our fans never ran dry.

The campaign was structured as a five-year loan with a 3% interest rate, paired with exclusive rewards for our backers. We want to extend a massive thank you to all 113 investors for their trust and support. Together, we took the leap from a dream to a beautiful, concrete reality!
